Certificate recognition
Certificate recognition

Certificate recognition in the Republic of Kazakhstan is a procedure enabling importers of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment to use certificates issued in other countries, provided they are reissued in the form established by Kazakhstan’s state technical regulation system.

Foreign certificates are recognised in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international treaties and agreements with other states.

When recognition is not required

Certificates and declarations of conformity under Customs Union (EAEU) technical regulations are valid in all member states and do not require additional recognition. If your product already has such a document, it only needs to be verified in the unified EAEU register.

Required documents

  • An application for recognition.
  • The original foreign certificate or a certified copy.
  • The standard or regulatory document cited in the certificate.
  • Product documents: contract, specification and shipping documents.
  • A product sample, if needed for verification.

How the procedure works

  1. We check whether your certificate can be recognised or whether an EAEU document is required.
  2. We accept the application and review the documents.
  3. If needed, we identify and test the sample in our accredited laboratory.
  4. We issue the certificate in the prescribed form.

If the foreign certificate cannot be recognised, we will issue a certificate or declaration under EAEU technical regulations.
